BRIEF ABOUT THE PROJECT

Agribusiness Innovation and Climate Resilience Support Organization (AICRO-Uganda) is a non-governmental, service-providing organization fully registered and currently operating in Uganda. Our main office is located in Kyenjojo Town in the Western District of Kyenjojo.

Project coverage

This project aims to deliver comprehensive Business Development Services training to micro and small agribusinesses in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement and surrounding host communities in Kyegegwa District. The trainings focus on enhancing business management capabilities, improving financial literacy, strengthening record-keeping practices, building marketing skills, and integrating appropriate technologies to boost productivity and market access.

The program targets 1,000 beneficiaries, including youth, women, and refugee-led agribusinesses across various value chains, with a specific focus on those with growth potential and the capacity to create employment opportunities within their communities

The program delivered on the following Objectives

  • The program equipped 1,000 agribusiness operators with essential entrepreneurship and business management skills through structured training programs
  • The program supported 200 high-potential MSEs in developing viable business growth plans and accessing appropriate financing options.
  • The program facilitated market linkages to agribusinesses to enhance their revenue and sustainability.
  • The program integrated digital solutions for at least 200 businesses to improve operational efficiency and record-keeping.
  • The program established 25 peer learning groups for continued knowledge sharing and mutual support beyond the project period

We implement this project with funding from UNCDF/Innovation Village
